Venue:
Spanning four floors of a shophouse in the heart of Tanjong Pagar. Their vertical layout is conducive and practical with each level serving a specific purpose. The reception and a cafe called Canteen by TRC are on the second storey, gymnasium on the third and an attic studio for yoga and martial arts classes. I like that these classes are conducted in a separate space from the gymnasium as it is less disruptive and distracting from sights and sounds.

Cleanliness:
A fresh fragrance engulfed me upon entry and I was greeted with clean and neat amenities. Restrooms and showers are spotless and well equipped. A thing to note - showers are gender neutral which I find an inclusive concept. However some may feel comfortable with this and some may not. Separate area for freshening up and hair drying minimises crowding. When it comes to workout areas, equipment is well maintained and sanitary. There was no lingering scent of sweat after sessions and because they adopt barefoot training, mats are free from grime and grit. Also means one item less to lug along which is always a plus!

Price point:
An unlimited access pass for a month starts from $300 which includes sessions of cold plunge and infrared sauna as well as various discounts at the canteen etc. There are packages available for various time frames. It definitely is on the pricier side but all in all I feel it works out. There are also other passes aimed solely at your personal interest be it martial arts, yoga or gymnasium workouts. Check out which option will suit your lifestyle here https://trapezerec.club/join-us/
There is also a 10 day unlimited trial pack at $59 should you like to dip your toes first.

Quality of service:
The staff at reception are polite and helpful. Explained in detail about the different prices and packages available. Haven’t gotten round to trying the cafe yet but will be back to do that. The staff there seemed pleasant and welcoming when I dropped by to check out the menu.

Overall experience (Will I recommend- yes or no):
It’s a yes for me. Five stars for the premises alone. I feel the overall vibe is very calming and non-intimidating. Trainers and coaches I’ve met are also friendly and knowledgeable. Bonus - their martial arts head coach Royston is the first and only Singaporean UFC fighter! Recovery facilities like the cold plunge and infrared sauna are great as well to maintain balance of mind, body and soul.
